MAD FACTZ ABOUT DAVE
Has survived nearly 300 cycle accidents of speeds of up to 40mph and
never been in hospital.
Has been single since birth - by the way, ladies, I’m straight
(lol).
Moved up from Kent when aged 7, still has no Yorkshire accent despite
living in Steel City for over two decades.
IF I WERE SOMEBODY ELSE I’D BE
I’ll come back to you on that one.
WORDZ FROM DAVE (Writing Nov 2007)
Here at the end of’07 after over six years since we evolved
from the sad little stapled A4 rag circulating the odd shop and pub
in the Sheffield suburbs we are still going strong. and as I write,
approaching the 50k mark!!
While Glenn and I carry
on bringing you the best in metal and rock, both on CD and on stage,
we have further current contributors on board, including Al Hoath
and Roy Evans but to name a couple.
However, it is our privilege
to announce that they will be joined by a face from the past, as original
member Tony Watson has decided to become part of the Metalliville
squad again after a five year absence.
We are also proud to present
a couple of new features on our sacred pages.
SHOP n’ ROLL, our new list of the most recommended retail outlets
in Sheffield, Bradford, Huddersfield and Leeds for picking up rock
and metal discs and associated clobber, is unveiled on the site, late
November ’07.
NEW n’ NOIZY is
the name of a column charting the best of the new bunch of hard rockin’
young men (and women) making ripples round the isle, and will appear
on the Metalliville board in early 08.
All the more reason to
visit Metalliville - remember it’s your support over the years
gone past that has kept us fully afloat. Take care and pass the good
name of our site about as widely as possible. Til then, love rock
n’ roll, because we certainly do.

'Are there actually any ferries at this place? - I've
been waiting ten hours!'

Watson
Well
where do I start, being a Sheffield lad I spent most of my time
as ateenager supporting local bands such as Saxon and Def Leppard,
but soon got into the 80's thrash and death metal scene, listening
continuously toMetallica, Slayer, Megadeth, Voivod, Venom, Nuclear
Assault, Faith no Moreand Anthrax to name but a few.
With such wonderful music going round
in my head I soon attached myself to the local pubs and clubs
in the centre ofSheffield such as the Wapentake and Rebels,
where I would spend most of Saturday happily drinking and getting
drunk with a bunch of crazy people andlistening to wicked music.

As life evolved and women were abundant,
James (my son) appeared when I was 18 - a big shock to the system
but a guy I love to bits especially as he has turned into what
I was. By the age of 21 I was coming out of intensive care on
my birthday out of my head on heroin and morphine (prescribed)
due tobeing totally wrecked in a car accident that should by
the law of averagesput me six foot under. The accident broke
nearly every bone in my body except my back, neck and right
arm. I must admit this was one of the worst times of my life,
especially when nurses and doctors say that you won't be able
to walk again and that you will have permanent brain damage.
How wrongwere they.
Soon after I got married (for the wrong
reasons) but did get a beautiful daughter Kayleigh out of the
relationship who I love with all my heart. The accident constantly
got me thinking about life and its values, which got me into
spiritualism and meditation as well as doing a degree in Psychology
aswell as a doing a lighting diploma all at the same time (no
wonder I feel tired).

One wonderful thing happened when I was
doing my Psychology was that I met my soul mate, I didn't know
that for several years, but everyone else couldsee it. Rachael
is my life and she makes me feel whole, after a few years ofbeing
together we recently married and live life as one.
As an avid fan of metal and rock music,
I can express myself through what I write and sometimes that
may mean being straight to the point but it doesn't mean I am
right. This is my opinion and no one else's. So keep banging
that head, live life to the full, life is what you make itand
no one else can be blamed for that, so get off your lazy back
sides aslife is loud and rock music is louder.
With Love Tony
